Hi, it’s me… your favorite photographer, hype woman, big sister, whateverr you wanna call me 💁🏻♀️ but most of the time people call me Cheyenne.
It’s be a hot minute since I told ya a little bit about me.
As most of you know, I’m that girl with the camera while you have… well… just about nothing on 😂 but let me tell you how I got here.
I’ve had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember… photography was always my escape from the reality I was living in. I remember thinking about how freeing the art was that I created and even in the darkest of times, my mind saw the beauty. I truly owe a lot of that to why I am where I am today.
At the age of 15, I pretty much was on my own and I ended up moving out of state without my parents just to finish high school on my own. I got married right out of high school, had my first son at 19 (Lane) , and was in college studying to be a physical therapy assistant (obviously gave that up pretty quick). I was pregnant with my 2nd boy, Cade, when I started getting really into photography again. I mainly started just taking photos of my son and that turned into taking photos for my friends. When my 2nd was born, I knew that the balance between working full-time, being a mom, and going to college was going to be too much. So naturally, I quit college and working and dove straight into photography.

As someone who didn’t have a good childhood growing up, my ultimate goal in life was to make sure that I was creating the life for my children that they deserved. I knew that I never wanted to miss a thing and I also knew that I wanted to create a comfortable life for them. I dove so deep into photography that by the time my youngest boy was 1 I was already booked full time as a newborn and family photographer. By the time he was 2, I had opened up a photography studio in download Covington, Louisiana!
At this point, my life took a big turn. I faced a divorce and was a single mom to two very sweet but busy little boys. I was humbled beyond measures as I knew that I never wanted to fail them but my head was barely staying above water. I found myself in a very dark place and I was struggling with figuring out who I was a person. But as mother, I knew that I had a major responsibility in making sure that I was okay so that I could be the best mother for them.
During my search for myself through therapy, self discovery, and lots and lots of gym time, I came across Boudoir Photography. I was SOOOO intrigued by it that it’s all I could think about. I spent hours and hours researching it. I was some compelled by the stories that I was reading and how it made women feel.
Along with myself, I had a group of friends who were also going through a lot at the time. So one day I asked them to all meet me at my studio and we spent the whole day dolling ourselves up and taking photos of each other. It was SOOO incredible to see all of them completely fall in love with themselves. I knew that very day that this is something that I wanted to do FOREVER.
From that point on, I made it my goal to create the BEST experience that I possibly could for women to have a space where they can let go of all of the things that are going on in their lives, look past their insecurities, and learn to love who they are again. Fast forward to today and I have done just that. I have worked with hundreds of women and gotten to know all of their stories. I’ve watched so many incredible transformations and cried with so many of them in my studio.
Fastforward to now -- I have since married the love of my life, we had my 3rd AND LAST baby, my daughter, Mila. We moved to Mississippi, where I have opened up my studio in Ocean Springs and my husband hunts hurricanes with the Airforce (our kids get some funny looks when they tell them what their parents do for a living). I am literally living my dream every single day!
I have been able to create an incredible life for myself and my family. I never have to miss anything with my children and although some days are harder than others, I have been able to figure out a balance that allows me to be the mother and entrepreneur that I have always wanted to be.
Along side boudoir photography, I also help other incredible photographers build their brands and create systems that give them back their time and create a life for themselves through social media strategies and marketing. I became passionate about this when I nearly lost my business due to covid and I turned to social media to keep my brand and business afloat. Through all of the trials and errors ive been able to create a system that has helped me gain back my time with my family while still be able to maintain an incredible business and being able to do that for others is something I am so thankful for.
I am beyond grateful for the amount of trust and appreciation that goes into all of the incredible women who I get the pleasure of working with. I know how important this experience is for them and I too value its importance. Thank YOU to every single person who’s supported me through my journey and who will continue to support me as well as watch all the amazing things that are arising soon!
With so much love,
Cheyenne lenea <3
